Delaney Nolan

Environmental reporter, The Lens

Delaney Nolan joined the Desk in 2026 as a contributing reporter. She is an environmental reporter for The Lens in New Orleans, where she focuses on environmental justice, displacement, and where those issues intersect. Previously, as a freelance journalist, she reported for publications including The Guardian, Al Jazeera, The Nation, and Sierra Magazine, where her cover story on LNG terminals on the Gulf Coast won a Covering Climate Now award. She has received support from the International Women's Media Foundation and has reported from conflict zones including Ukraine and Palestine's West Bank. Her background is in fiction writing, and her debut novel is Happy Bad (Astra House, 2025).
