Dean Klinkenberg

Dean Klinkenberg is the author of The Wild Mississippi: A State-by-State Guide to the River’s Natural Wonders, the Mississippi Valley Traveler guidebooks and the Frank Dodge mystery series. He has been writing about the Mississippi River, its history, culture and river towns since 2007.

For the Ag & Water Desk’s Down the Drain series on wetlands, he wrote a state-by-state guide to visiting public wetlands along the river.
