Researchers, patients optimistic in fight against alpha-gal syndrome
A support group and a lab in the St. Louis area provide resources for people with the allergy to mammal products — and evidence that its effects can be reversed.
Annika McGinnis is a data and investigative journalist based in New York. She co-founded InfoNile, a Uganda-based geojournalism platform and journalists’ network reporting on water and environment across 10 Nile Basin countries. At InfoNile, she spent eight years leading cross-border investigations and spearheading science journalism platforms.
